I took this photo using a Canon 30D DSLR and converted the image to black and white. I was going for a simple image and felt the black and white tones further emphasized the simplicity.

A macro image of a purple tulip in bloom. I bought an arrangement of these tulips for my wife for Valentine’s Day and they are now in full bloom.

Bird Watching at Dover
While hiking around the White Cliffs of Dover, I saw these people bird watching and sightseeing. I liked how they were standing and framed in the photo so I snapped a photo.

Sloss Furnace – Birmingham, AL
This is part of the old steel-making plant at Sloss Furnace in Birmingham, Alabama. This former steel plant has been converted into an educational park and even has a place for a concert.
